The Big Refurbishment

More inclusive, more accessible, more fun!

We're refurbishing our centre in Horsham to create a dedicated, inclusive space for Sussex families, especially those with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).

Springboard has always focused on breaking down barriers, whether social, financial or physical. The refurbishment will ensure Springboard House fully reflects a warm, welcoming and respectful environment that is usable by everyone.

While Springboard’s services have grown in scale, complexity and ambition since the charity was founded in 1992, the building has not kept pace. Decades of incremental adaptations have resulted in a well-loved space that is increasingly stretched, compromised and mismatched to the needs of those it serves.

Every donation to Springboard helps move us closer to this goal, while also supporting families who need guidance, reassurance and practical help today.

The total refurbishment cost is £1.6 million. We know this ambition will take time, which is why we have created a three-phase plan:

  1. A redesigned garden, sensory cabin, multi-use barn and training kitchen.

  2. Young adults’ training and social space, a Lego and gaming room.

  3. A drop-off point, reception, soft play, sensory room and family space.

We have already made a strong start, but we cannot achieve our goals without your support. By donating today, you will make a difference, change a life and create a community.
