Our Board of Trustees
Our Board of Trustees is responsible for our governance and strategic direction as a charity.
The Board agrees our vision and values, sets the strategy and policies for our key activities, and monitors our progress. Our trustees are also responsible for appointing our chief executive and for our overall professional, legal and financial management.
Jill Carnie
Now retired, Jill has a wealth of experience in the private sector in senior management roles. She is a Fellow of the Institute of Direct Marketing and a member of the Chartered Insurance Institute.
Alan Vallon
Alan joined the board of trustees at Springboard in 2013 and acted as Chair and Safeguarding Trustee. He is enthusiastic, supportive and immensely proud of their work.
Following training Manchester and London he became an NHS Consultant Physician in 1984 working in hospitals in Crawley, Horsham and Redhill until 2013. Further management and leadership experience was gained during roles as Director of Medical Education and Clinical Director for Medicine and Emergency Care.
He also served on the board of governors at Muntham House School with responsibility for safeguarding.

Sarah Pritchard
Sarah has recently joined Springboard and brings a range of experience of working within Social Care providers and Local Authorities. She has extensive experience of Behaviour Analysis and Commissioning of bespoke support arrangements for individuals with Learning Disabilities, Autism and Mental Health Support Needs. Sarah also has experience in Safeguarding and will be supporting the Board as a Safeguarding Trustee.
Outside of this, Sarah is a keen swimmer and having recently moved to Horsham, is loving exploring the local area with her very lively Spaniel!
